The world renown tropical flower, and yet it's so much more than just a flower. Hibiscus is a wonderful addition to many herbal teas, lending a tartness that many find quite refreshing hot or cold. In some countries, the flowers are candied and used as a treat or garnish for dessert. In addition to the wonderful taste, hibiscus has been shown to help lower blood pressure in clinical studies.  It's also believed to be soothing to inflamed mucous membranes.
