Everyone's favorite wintertime sweets get their flavor from this plant. In addition to sweets, it pairs well with savory meats like lamb. Research has shown peppermint to have antiseptic, antibacterial, and antifugal properties. It is found to be helpful with digestive issues and sometimes pain relief. Personally, I find that a peppermint tea is incredibly relaxing before bed.
